a Residential Woodland...

The garden was designed to replace very old Cyprees that where existing on the boundry of the property. The arcadian style or ' a secularized paradise' was to be my direction for this design. The large spaces in this garden allowed us to create a mystical reunion with nature where by the a woodland would undulate and spread through the landscape as if it had been there for generations. 'Goat tracks' where cut into the landscape taking the visitor through the changing gradients, on a journey of discovery. It was the perfect setting to incorporate an Antiquated Ruin where one could sit amongst broken coloums in an ampitheater surrounding a central pond bubbling away, engulfed in rambling vegitation. The focal point from the folly is a veiw down through a Hornbeam walk and at its end is lovely iron bench backed by hedged 'Cypress Marcrocarapa.
